What We Do

Capacity Building

Building skills, confidence, and practical capacity in global e-commerce

UNIEF's Capacity Building programme supports businesses, associations, and ecosystem actors in developing the skills and practical know-how needed to operate and grow in global digital commerce.

As rules, technologies, and markets evolve rapidly, access to clear information alone is not enough. Capacity Building focuses on learning by doing, helping participants turn knowledge into action.

The Capacity Building programme focuses on practical learning and implementation, addressing questions such as:

  • How can businesses prepare for cross-border e-commerce?
  • What capabilities are needed to comply with rules and scale sustainably?
  • How can organisations strengthen their internal digital trade capacity?

To address these needs, UNIEF delivers:

  • training and learning programmes
  • practical workshops and bootcamps
  • targeted support for SMEs and emerging markets

Training & Learning Programmes

Structured sessions designed to build understanding of key areas such as:

  • cross-border e-commerce fundamentals
  • compliance and operational readiness
  • platform, payments, and logistics basics

Trainings are delivered online, in-person, or in hybrid formats.
